A beginner should learn the floor loop before chasing a Main Toon: identify the elevator, choose safe machines, preserve stamina, avoid and escape Twisteds, collect useful items and Research, then spend Ichor on a goal that makes the next run easier. Consistency creates every later currency and unlock.
First ten actions
- Join Place ID
16116270224by BlushCrunch Studio. - Read your starter Toon’s stats and ability.
- Enter the elevator and identify its return direction.
- Walk while exploring so stamina remains available.
- Call the first Twisted and machine location.
- Choose a machine with cover and two exits.
- Leave before a patrol reaches the station.
- Collect safe target Research capsules and useful items.
- Return promptly during Panic Mode.
- Review the failure before buying anything.
This route teaches operations rather than memorizing a map. Each floor can use a different layout variant and enemy set, so the player must repeat the decision, not the exact path.
Machines and Skill Checks
Focus the check indicator and call failures. A miss can attract nearby Twisteds and special enemies such as Astro can punish machine progress. If timing is difficult, practice on safe early stations or choose a forgiving Trinket later.
Do not stay for “one more check” after danger enters the route. Partial progress survives your retreat; Health may not.
Escape without wasting stamina
Walk in safe rooms. When spotted, sprint toward nearby solid cover, turn out of sight, and remain hidden until attention ends. Random circling in an open hall spends stamina without ending the chase.
Avoid a designated distractor’s loop. If pressure moves toward machines, call direction and leave. A beginner contributes by not creating collisions even before mastering distraction.
Items and Tapes
Use Bandage or Health Kit after safety, extraction items on important machines, and speed/stamina before the route collapses. Call rare items for teammates. Tapes are run currency, so buy in the elevator shop for the current injury or weakness.
If the lobby announces a Dandy run, ask what it means before buying. Shop skipping is a coordinated Twisted Dandy Research strategy, not a default rule for ordinary players.
First account goal
Open the Toon and Trinket stores. Choose one affordable purchase tied to an observed need. Tisha offers community-documented mobility support; Rodger becomes valuable when Research is the bottleneck; a simple movement or extraction Trinket can improve every run.
Keep Ichor reserved once a target is named. Do not buy random small items and then complain that the license never arrives.
Research and Mastery
Research capsules correspond to Twisteds on the floor and are described as client-side. Share their locations. Register first encounters near cover and avoid long Research chases.
Mastery begins when a Toon has a task panel. Combine ability, machine, floor, item, and travel tasks during real play. Do not disrupt the lobby solely to inflate a counter.
Beginner mistakes
- Sprinting through safe exploration.
- Starting dead-end machines.
- Hiding Skill Check failures.
- Following a chase to “help.”
- Holding rare items until defeat.
- Buying without a named unlock plan.
Beginner FAQ
Which Toon should I buy first?
The one whose verified license you can reach and whose job solves your problem. Tisha and Rodger serve different early goals.
How do I get better at surviving?
Leave machines earlier, preserve stamina, and practice one clear line-of-sight break on familiar floors.
Should I collect every capsule?
Collect safe capsules, prioritizing a named Research target. Do not delay the team or take an open chase for small progress.
When am I ready for deep runs?
When you consistently finish early floors, can explain enemy calls, and have an inventory/role plan rather than relying on another player to rescue each mistake.
