Distraction Trinket Builds

Choose movement, stamina, stealth and recovery Trinkets for distraction by diagnosing the chase, the Toon, the floor and the Twisted combination.

A distraction build creates safe distance while preserving a predictable chase route for the team. Movement is important, but it is only one part of the operation. Stamina, recovery, Stealth, debuff resistance, floor geometry, and clear handoffs decide whether the player can hold attention without dragging Twisteds across machines.

Evidence: Dog Plush, Pink Bow, Speedy Shoes, Vanity Mirror, Diary, Scrapbook, and Train Whistle appear in current community role guides checked 2026-08-08. Their exact effects and interactions are community values; verify them in the live loadout panel.

Diagnose the chase failure

If the Twisted slowly closes distance during a stable loop, improve walk or run speed. If the player begins safely but runs empty, improve stamina or regeneration. If teammates repeatedly steal attention, examine Stealth relationships and route separation. If one debuff ends otherwise clean chases, use specific protection.

Do not answer every failure with maximum speed. A collision at the same corner will remain a collision. Practice the geometry first, then use Trinkets to widen the margin.

Movement pairs

Dog Plush and Speedy Shoes are common general movement choices. Pink Bow is often used for run-speed help, while Vanity Mirror is associated with Panic Mode. Compare when the effect is active: a Panic-only burst does not help a floor-long loop, and a walk-speed effect does not replace an emergency sprint.

Pebble already has a strong movement profile, so he may value stamina or a situational counter in the second slot. Tisha can use movement to support flexible distraction, but her lower Stamina means a long chase still needs care.

Stealth and aggro control

Stealth changes which nearby Toon becomes attractive to a Twisted. A designated distractor may need to remain the lowest-Stealth target in the area, while a healer or support may want to avoid taking attention. Diary and Scrapbook are commonly discussed for those relationships.

The safest answer is separation. Do not make several Toons crowd one loop and expect Trinket math to keep aggro perfect. Keep extractors away, call the route, and avoid passing directly through support positions.

Stamina and recovery

Use walk speed whenever the enemy and route allow it. Sprint only for the opening gap, a broken corner, or Panic Mode. A stamina Trinket is valuable when the player already makes correct routing decisions but the chase genuinely exceeds the bar.

After breaking sight, stop sprinting and recover behind cover. A build that depends on continuous sprinting is fragile against Astro’s stamina debuff or a long unexpected reroute.

Special-counter slot

Train Whistle and other utility choices can neutralize or reduce a named effect according to current guides. Use them when that effect is present often enough to justify a slot. On ordinary early floors, a general movement or stamina option may be more reliable.

Carry an escape item when the floor can invalidate the loop. The Trinket plan and item plan should complement each other rather than duplicate the same short burst.

Team handoff

Call the Twisted, current loop, and intended exit. The receiving distractor positions outside the path, takes attention deliberately, and confirms. The original player leaves in another direction and recovers.

Never improvise a handoff near machines. If the route collapses, warn the team and move pressure into unused space before trying again.

Distraction build FAQ

What is the fastest Trinket pair?

Exact “fastest” depends on walk versus run, conditional triggers, Toon stats, and the current patch. Choose the pair that fixes the observed chase.

Does Pebble need two speed Trinkets?

Not automatically. His base movement is already strong in community data; stamina, recovery, or special protection may add more safety.

How does Stealth affect distraction?

It influences target preference when Toons are near each other. Separation and clear routes remain more reliable than depending only on a value.

What should I use for Panic Mode?

A conditional speed option can help the elevator return, but only if ordinary floor survival is already covered.
