Trinkets are persistent loadout tools that change how a Toon performs across a run. The strongest pair is the one that solves the player’s actual bottleneck: machine tempo, Skill Check consistency, chase distance, stamina recovery, Research routing, healing access, or a special enemy effect. Dandy’s World gives only two slots, so every choice has an opportunity cost.

Coverage status — 2026-08-08: this is a role-based index of currently documented Trinkets, not a permanent complete list. Store prices, unlock conditions, percentages, cooldowns, and Research rewards are community-sourced and Alpha-sensitive. Verify the live Dandy's Store and Twisteds Research menu before buying or planning a grind.

Choose the problem first

Begin by naming the failure. If the team times out on machines while everyone survives, extraction matters. If your Toon is hit leaving a machine, movement or emergency protection matters. If the account cannot find the target capsule, Research information matters. A tier list that never asks the question cannot give a dependable answer.

Store Trinkets versus Research Trinkets

Dandy’s Store in the lobby sells a set of evergreen Trinkets for Ichor. Current community indexes list accessible options such as Coin Purse, Research Map, Wrench, Machine Manual, Speedy Shoes, and Speedometer. These cover early economy, search, extraction, movement, and stamina without requiring full Research on a specific Twisted.

Research Trinkets unlock through 100% Research on individual Twisteds according to current guides. They often provide more specialized effects, but the time cost is higher and depends on the target Twisted appearing. Plan the Research route only after confirming the reward in your Twisteds menu.

Do not delay every useful store purchase while chasing a rare specialized item. An affordable movement or machine Trinket that improves today’s runs can accelerate the Research project itself. At the same time, avoid emptying the Ichor balance when a Toon license is the primary account goal.

Extraction families

First-machine tools such as Wrench create value at the start of every floor. They are strongest in short floors or when several teammates stack opening tempo. Sustained Extraction Speed tools help every second spent on a machine, while Skill Check tools reward players and Toons that can consistently trigger and land checks.

These effects are not interchangeable. A Toon with strong steady extraction may value first-machine progress. A high Skill Check Toon may gain more from check-focused value. A slow Toon on unsafe maps may need movement in the second slot even if a spreadsheet shows a faster theoretical clear.

Movement and distraction families

Current community guides repeatedly recommend Dog Plush, Pink Bow, Speedy Shoes, and other mobility options for distractor contexts. Compare walk speed, run speed, stamina, and conditional activation separately. A build that only becomes fast during Panic Mode does not solve an ordinary floor chase.

Stealth tools change who receives attention and can help a support avoid stealing aggro, but they can also undermine a designated distractor if used without understanding the team. Debuff protection matters when a specific Twisted or special floor is the reason the route fails.

Movement does not replace cover. A player who runs straight down an open hallway will eventually spend the second slot trying to repair a routing mistake. Practice the loop, then use the build to widen its safety margin.

Research and utility families

Research Map is currently documented as periodically highlighting capsules. This is useful on unfamiliar or large layouts, especially when a specific Twisted is the account target. Rodger already doubles Research gains in current community data, so the second slot can protect his weaker movement or help him finish machines safely.

Other utility effects can influence healing items, cooldowns, shop economy, item starts, aura ranges, or one-time survival. These are powerful only when their trigger exists in the run. Read the effect, name the situation, and reject a pair whose two conditions rarely overlap.

Test a build without fooling yourself

Use the same Toon and comparable floor range for several runs. Record machine contribution, chase failures, stamina pressure, capsule success, and whether each Trinket actually triggered. One lucky item spawn or unusually strong teammate should not become proof.

Change one slot at a time. If both slots change, you cannot tell which effect fixed the problem. Stop testing when the role is consistent, then keep the stable pair while learning deeper floors.

Trinket index FAQ

How many Trinkets can I equip?

Current game references use two slots. Check the live loadout interface for any Toon- or mode-specific exception.

What should a beginner buy first?

Choose an affordable store Trinket that fixes an observed problem: Wrench or Machine Manual for machine work, Speedy Shoes for general mobility, or Research Map for a named capsule grind.

Are Research Trinkets always better?

No. They are specialized and require time. A store option can fit the current Toon or role better.

Is there one best pair?

No dependable pair ignores Toon stats, player execution, team role, floor depth, and enemy set. Use Best by Role as a decision tree.
