Toon unlocks combine account currency with proof that you have used related systems. A regular license may need Ichor and a smaller Research gate. A Main Toon commonly requires a larger Ichor purchase, 100% Research on its Twisted counterpart, and full Mastery of another Toon. The live license panel owns the current requirements.
Read the license first
Open the Toon store, select the target, and write every gate exactly. Do not rely on a search snippet that may omit a prerequisite. Check whether the Toon is regular, Main, event, or special and whether any condition can currently be completed.
If an event Toon is unavailable, choose an evergreen project instead of farming obsolete currency.
Early bridge targets
Tisha is currently documented as an accessible Ichor-only regular Toon with useful movement support. Rodger adds a Research prerequisite but then doubles future Research, making him a strong bridge when Main Toon gates are the plan.
Choose based on the account bottleneck. A player struggling with floor movement may value Tisha; a player already surviving but blocked by Research may value Rodger.

Verify the exact numbers in the live store. Work the Research and Mastery in parallel while protecting the Ichor amount.
One project board
Track three lines: currency, target Research, prerequisite Mastery. After each session, update all three. If one line is stalled because the target Twisted did not spawn, advance Mastery or Ichor instead.
Do not open three Main Toon projects. Incidental Research is fine, but one license should receive deliberate effort until it completes.
Test before the next unlock
After purchase, play several ordinary floors with the Toon. Learn its movement, stamina, ability timing, and safe role before buying a full Trinket setup. A new Main Toon can be weaker in inexperienced hands than a familiar regular Toon.
Use the test to choose the next project: fix a weakness with a store Trinket, complete Mastery, or begin another license only after the current Toon has a purpose.
Event and special unlocks
Historical community guides include seasonal Toons, currencies, skins, and stores. Treat them as unavailable unless the current game or official announcement confirms the event. Never present a past requirement as a current route.
Game Pass skins and Robux surfaces are not the same as Toon licenses. Verify the product and seller before purchase.

Open the live license for the Toon you actually want and list every gate: Ichor, Research, prerequisite ownership, Mastery, event status, or another condition shown by the game. Then select the next Toon or Trinket only when it advances one of those gates or makes the route safer. This prevents an attractive side purchase from delaying the entire chain.
